As you know, Chase Farm is one of the eight Accident and Emergency Departments earmarked for closure later this year.
Figures came out last week which show hospitals in our area are already not meeting their targets as 8,470 patients waited more than four hours at the Barnet and Chase Farm Hospital Trust. These numbers will only increase if Chase Farm’s A&E is closed, and I fear this will impact on quality of care for patients and increased demand on hardworking NHS staff.
I have questioned the Mayor of London and written to him, and the Secretary of State for Health asking them to halt the closure of Chase Farm A&E, and these letters can be found below.
